Bad moon rising!

I was able to get out to the stand yesterday evening for only the third time this season. Just after five my buddy texted me that he'd just passed a fawn. At 5:35 in full daylight I saw this nice buck walking around in a wide open cut corn field and he was heading my way. He got to 38 yards and stopped broadside but was looking at another trail.I figured it was now or never but when I shot he took a step and the bolt hit a foot back from where I had aimed. He slowly walked away towards my buddy so I texted to him what happened and to be on the lookout for my buck. After I climbed down to check my arrow I heard a deer snort from where my buddy was and saw a buck run out into the field and drop. I turns out that my buck had slowly walked right into my partners shooting lane and he finished him off for me. It was my lucky day for sure. He's a five by five with a split g2 and one sticker and he is just awesome!!!
