Question abour resetting Lumenocks

Post by hockeyfodder »

Hey All:
This is probably a dumb question but here goes anyway.
I am checking POI on some custom made arrows from Big John.
Do I have to reset the Lumenock after each shot.
I really can't imagine it would make any difference if the light is
activated while shooting, but I thought I'd check.

Thanks for your input...

when you shoot the light turn on, then you need to pull out your nock a little (until light goes off) to turn it off, luminoc lights are good for about 10h after that you need a new battery.

After each shot you turn off the Lumenok buy pull straight out (not twist) till the light shuts off. Danny Miller arrow pullers work well and any pliers used should should have the jaws coated to prevent damage to the Lumenok.
Not reseting for an extended period will result in a dead battery. If you are taking a few shots over a short time you probably do not have to reset them between shots.

Lumenoks last far longer than 10 hrs. as stated by "cdn. redneck". They will go as long as 48 hrs. consistently. As mentioned, it is good to re-set after each shot, but not necessary, to keep battery lasting longer.

Another question answered is: if you order only half your arrows with Lumenoks, and the rest aluminum rear, and you want to have them shoot exactly the same as each other, not just for spares, tell me!! For a little more I will match them all exactly in weight.

A good arrow builder right there. Matched and uniform arrows perform better.
