Actual Shot Distance - UPDATED

Post by nchunterkw »

Thought it would be interesting to collect some real world data on actual shot distances on whitetails. If you killed this year, post actual yardage of the shot and whether it was a buck or doe.

Here's my data so far this year:
Doe - 20 yards
Doe - 15 yards
Buck - 18 yards

I'll put the data in a spreadsheet and post periodic updates through out the season

Thanks!

not this year but from the start in 2008 4 doe to date with same arrow  ....

in order of harvest and yard ran approx.....

47 yards, walked 20 feet
10 yards, ran 400 yards
21 yards, walked 15 feet
35 yards, ran 40 yards

all fell within 15/20 seconds, the 400 yard runner ran full tilt until landed in a beaver pond....how I know that deer ran full out was that the guy driving them to me ran past him so fast and low he thought it was a yote  ....the 10 yard shot that doe was spooked by the other guy and seen me at last second and was in process of turning and getting the hell outta dodge....
