Most accurate Excalibur?

Post by Kenreich »

I know I may start some silly fight, but can anyone tell me or point me to some old posts that discuss/prove (maybe statistically) which Excalibur happens to be the most accurate...

Thanks,
Ken

P.s. Please don't tell me they all are (I'm sure they are), but I'm just honestly wondering what others have found?

That ? would be best answered by BillT himself who started the Excal Company. I am a big fan of the Vixen model, i have found them to be quite accurate

Hi guys,

Thanks for all the posts, ya as I read I'm more convinced my question was a stupid one...maybe a better question would be accurate at great distance...but I won't ask for responses to that...I think one of the best answers was whichever one is most comfortable for me to shoot...etc

Ken

Steve Rodo...I would have liked to see some target photo's, but couldn't see them or even where to find them.

I don't think your question can truly be answered, the crossbows are as accurate as the shooter. In a vice, the difference is probably so minimal, it's not worth the effort to measure. There are so many other variables that will affect the accuracy, that any of the models are plenty accurate in their own right. As for speed, the lower poundage Xbows can do what the big ones can do, so unless you're only hunting Moose or larger, would be the only time I would say a Phoenix or heavier. Other then that, most seem to own and use what there preference is or budget.

That's my $0.02 FWIW.

Here's what a 35 yard free hand shot can do.

And this is at 80yrds free hand looking over the scope, because it wasn't dialed in that far.
