Last Day Success

Not really a big story on this buck. My season goals had been fulfilled already with the kids finding a lot of success deer hunting with the crossbow. I didn't have any luck last week when I was on vacation and really only had one good day of buck activity. At about 7:25 this morning I caught movement up to our right and told my daughter to sit still because it was a buck. He was cruising thru, but was staying a little higher on the hill than I would have liked because it is thick up there. Right when he hit the one small opening I had left, I bleated to stop him. Fortunately he stopped in the one small lane that was available to shoot. I had to lean out a little to the right to clear a tree and I let one go. He didn't make it 50 yards. He turned out to be a 9 point.
