Nice area Dan I wish you luck.

I am going to hunt with my daughter from Nov 27 Wed - Nov 30 Sat Thanksgiving weekend. This is the rifle season and we can take an anterless & buck.

My weapon of choice is my Weatherby Mark V Ultra Lightweight in 338-06 A-Square. My daughter uses my Thompson Center Encore rifle in 223 Remington.

I didn't connect this year with my Matrix 355 and will have to wait until next Oct 2014. Michigan has a late archery season, but doesn't allow crossbows. Only for disability hunters can use crossbows in the late archery season in the upper peninsula of Michigan..

Dan,I know deer won't care but in comparison to the Ibex would you say the 355 is quieter or louder ?

I watched a Trigger Tech vid and the Matrix(not sure if it was a 355 or 380)and to me it sounded small cal. rifle like.
