Wife kills her first deer

Well my wife finally put one down after many hours and some very close calls she put it all together and got it done this afternoon. I tried to get her to go hunting this afternoon and she decided to take a short power nap while I went hunting on one of our lease properties and right before dark I received a text from her and it read I just shot a deer. Well I was pretty surprised since when I left she was still in the bed, she ended up getting out of the bed and was drinking coffee in the spam when she looked out the window in our back field and saw some deer feeding on the corn we just put out last week. She changed clothes got her Mossberg .243 and sliped out the back door and slid in a chair and propped her gun up with the Dead shot Field Pod that I had put out there for her a couple of days ago and she watched 4 does eat for awhile and was torn up because it wasn't either sex this week. She said she watched the does for about 10 minutes when the spike buck walked in, and she said she got buck fever and started shaking all over including her knees shaking. She said she started talking to herself trying to calm herself down and taking deep breaths she said she calmed herself down and squeezed off the shot and the deer ran about 40 yards and was dead. I am very proud of her it was 105 yards to our corn where the deer were feeding and she took out both lungs and it didn't make it very far at all. I think I trained her up pretty good.

What ammo was she shooting out of the .243? I am setting my youngest son up with a .243 and wondered what people are using for ammo on whitetail.
