What is this? Matrix 401?

Post by darwal44 »

I found this on the web

http://www.kuse.cz/kuse/eshop/0/0/5/10- ... -401-tuned

It looks like the Matrix, even has the Excalibur logo, but it has a 280 lb draw weight and a 401 fps seep

Somebody knows something about this? :?:

Yes, that's what they says, but what I'd want to know is there is some kind of association with Excalibur? or is the Matrix 401 and imitation of their own. :?:

One of the things that I really like about the 380 is the synthetic stock. it doesn't turn into a heat sink like my old aluminum bow riser! 8)

It appears to be just some dude-man-guy who took a matrix and put his own rail on her.

The rail also looks like a solid chunk of aluminum!!!
And hes rippin off the excal logo to an extent. I wouldnt go near his stuff.

Although Excalibur told me that they don't have plans for a 400 fps model in the near future, the "the near future" could be around the corner :)

How can they get (280lb pull) 20 more lbs of draw weight with the same 13.1" power stroke found on the current Matrix 380 with a 260lb draw weight?

I am willing to bet their rail is longer which would also make it weigh more. They still show it at 5.9lbs mass weight. All I can see is they copied the specs off Excalibur's website verbatim.

Obviously Excalibur knows about this and is exporting their products or they don't know.

I ask myself the same question: How do they get the 280 lbs with the same power stroke?
Nevertheless if Excalibur would have made the matrix rail one inch longer maybe they would have reached the 400 fps velocity. Not big difference in hunting but sure in marketing.

You mean to throw the crossbow to the deer instead of shoot with it?
