Grain scale?

Post by Fred T »

I'm looking for recommendations for a decent scale for checking broadheads and arrows.
Thanks

I'm liking my MTM Mini scale. The powder pan has a groove for arrows. I got lucky and found it in Ont. a couple years ago at the AirgunSource for $24.

Fred if you or someone you know happens to be going to Port Huron over the holidays there is a harbor freight store about 1 mile north of the bridge on the left side in a strip mall. they sell a scale called US BALANCE for about 14 bucks, they work every bit as well as any you buy at archery stores ive been using mine for years munch

Local pawn shops here in Ottawa sell them new (small electronic scales (grams, oz and grains)). Give some local ones a call where you live, you might get lucky.

Fred, if your interested in the scale Enourmous mentioned I have a new one I could sell you at a good price, just let me know. I picked one up for reloading bullets and then got one as a gift but found them not accurate enough for that application but for arrows and broadheads its fine.

Thanks guys for the responses.I guess there are quite a few choices, wasn't sure if there were certain ones favoured by archers/arrow buidlers.

i got one off ebay that does grains grams etc for pretty cheap, it looks like this
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fuzion-Compact- ... 2ecd1863c5

bids start at a couple of pennies and it seems like mine ended up costing me about $5 shipped.
might want to check that out if you dont find one from one of the other sources.
