I just took the dogs out to pee and all I saw coming out of them was ice

OMG how do you northern brothers and sisters do this all the time ....I am ready to move to Florida

Yesterday morning in North Central Alberta it was brilliantly sunny and -40C. With wind factor it was -52. Today it jumped to -8C. Average snow depth here is < > 3.5 feet. A little West of here there is a lot more. Hunting is over until next Fall so not missing that. Shortly will be uncovering the Ski Doo and going for a moonlight tour 15 miles down the lake to coffee with friends. Winter is long here and I say if ya can't lick it join it.

It was +104f here yesterday, but luckier than my mate over the east of Aussie who's town hit a state record this year of 123f.
Maybe we can do an exchange of about 70f and we'll all be better off

I would melt in that heat, you can always buy warm cloths to stay warm, but you can only take off so much cloths to cool down before they arrest you

It's -28°F with -56°F windchill as I type this Been this way for two dys now but at least no new snow! Deer herd is suffering this winter Too cold and too much snow!

Same here, with all the snow we got and then wicked cold temps and then the ice storm, the deer are easy prey for the coyotes, the yotes are running across the ice covered snow without busting through the crust where as the deer cannot walk on top so the stay on the main trail creating a nice food buffet for the dogs. Deer have been scarce the last few years so I am afraid its only going to get much worse.

I have some considerable sympathy for you guys in the serious cold. I have never experienced these temps & not sure I would cope at all.

Where I am (Adelaide, South Australia - yeah the other side of the world and the other hemisphere) the forecast for the next few days is 35, 32, 34, 39, 41, 41, 43. These are all celsius and positive numbers! Bit of a contrast!!

Same here CB, 44c in Perth (111f) tomorrow, but luckily cooling down in a few days. This weather isn't bringing out my energetic side
