When buying 550 paracord which type
do you order?

There seems to be a lot of diff. kinds.

550 military
550 commercial, type III ,7 strand, 5 strand

I was interested in making a new rope cocker and
general stuff like that

any suggestions

Way to go. Besides a cocker its just plain good makin do to have some quality cordage on you.

550 should be 7 strand.
