Uncocking the 405

After spending the weekend building a couple of strings for my 355, I started to wonder if anyone had uncocked a 405. While I'm sure it is possible, I bet it's a pretty heavy load. Can any of the privileged few speak to this?

In that same line of thinking, do compound manufacturers discourage the manual uncocking of their crossbows because the let-off results in the weight getting heavier towards the end? I assume that would be tough to control but I've never had a chance to validate that theory.

I have a 380 and have uncocked it dozens of time with the string cocker. No problem whatsoever. I expect the 405 won't be that much harder.

x2 it isnt. If you can cock it you can uncock it.

....If anything I find uncocking it easier than cocking my 380...
