Boofest 2014 for all members - July 26th and 27th

Post by Boo »

Edit to change the date

Is happening the weekend of July the 26th and 27th . I'm hoping that this date is better than the past dates for Boofest. I know that some have prior/traditional engagements for the holiday weekend and some have an aversion to holiday traffic. So lets hear it if the second weekend is worse than the first weekend of August.
Here are the directions http://www.excaliburcrossbow.com/phpBB2 ... to+boofest

If anyone is in doubt about what happens (and it doesn't leave Boofest) here you go. There's much more if you do a search. Seeing some of the stuff from the past really make me smile!

I'll be at the farm on Thursday so anyone wanting to arrive a day earlier is certainly welcome! :D

Perfect! we both have all of August booked as vacation in 14 and will attend.
This is a better date so travellers don't fight the long weekend Holiday traffic of previous year Boofests.

Norm, I am hoping this is better as well and want to hear the opinion of others who might only be able to go on the holiday weekend dated August 2nd, 3rd and 4th. I'm agreeing with you Norm that some may have an aversion to the crazy holiday traffic. Hopefully the second weekend of August will bring more members to Boofest!

Wal, I just read the 3 links Boo posted, all 24 pages. After the shoddy treatment I got up there two years in a row, I'm hesitant to come back......

It was steady "shoot this", "drink that", lol. Damn near got my clock cleaned the 1st visit by Vix and/or Lascha, had to out run the "painters", suffer thru a gazillion pink/pank jokes, it was too much.

But.....boy howdy, it was all fun. y'all have a ball this time around......I'll be watchin........

I agree about the traffic , took me an extra hour to get out of the city when I went two yrs ago, but the five hour drive was worth it once I got there, I learned a ton as a xbow neub and met lots of great people and Dan helped me sight in my bow and Lou cocked my bow countless times saving me from having to use my crank, and Tim put on an awesome demonstration of how strong our bows are by driving over Moni's x-bow LOL and who can forget Bill and Danny's African hunt stories.

Like last year I will probably be working and not be able to attend but look forward to all the stories and pics.

Kudos to you Don for doing this, I know there is a lot of work involved getting everything set up.
