The Morrell 400 practice target gets excellent reviews. If I were planning to buy a target for field tips, that's what I'd get.

I've used Morrell outdoor range targets for years and our 3D range we build a small frame to pick them off the ground and they last all year long with probably 10,000 shots. When you see one side starting to wear just turn it over and shoot the other side. Good luck and have fun

Rinehart Raptor bags are good. The Morrel yellowjacket bags i have bought don't last 18 months. By the time i have put 500 shots in them wid me Vixens the arrows are goin thru them.

I've shot the same Morrell Yellowjacket Crossbow target for years. I'm on the 3rd cover. I think it's different from the other yellowjackets.

Get a Rag Bag from Third Hand Archery and fill it yourself with old cloths or screening, inexpensive and stops arrows real well.

Bowhunterssuperstore.com has the best price I've seen for this bag. I've seen reviews that rate it highly. You have to fill it up with your own rags.

I've made numerous rag targets using the Third Hand bags, they work great, but arrow removal can be a problems...esp if denim is used. Tried several commercially made bags: Big Shot gets my vote. It's large, relatively light, stops arrows from my 355 fps bow at half way, relatively inexpensive and arrow removal is easy. Most 3D targets make arrow removal more difficult from anything much over 300 fps. Fast arrow seem to weld into the foam.

Strange, my arrows come out super easy, though there is not tons of denim but the is some. How did you fill the bag, is it stuffed or layered. I do not know for sure if there is a difference but it was recommended to me to layer the cloths in the bag.

I'm also curious about how best to stuff a rag bag. What is the best rag material to use for maximizing stopping power and minimizing removal effort? Should the rags be cut to a particular size? As Bullzeye asked, should the rags be layered or just balled up and stuffed into the bag? What is best practice?

I believe it was Boo who told me to layer it, it takes more cloths and makes the bag a bit heavier but I have not had one arrow that was hard to remove.
