Pictures of the different risers .

Post by the elf »

Could someone please post pictures of the different risers [forward and
straight ] [cast and machined ] .for me.
I have a possible chance of picking up some spare parts and I don't want to get
confused any more than now.

I wonder how many fps you gain from a straight machined riser to forward machined riser?

The gain in speed is all relative to the arrow weight and string used. However, there is an approx. gain of 25lbs. in draw-weight with the forward riser. That is achieved because the limbs are flexed approx. an extra inch over the straight riser.

Cool I will be on the look out for a forward machined riser now for the Vixen....

Things i have learned by testin, 165 E'cet cast riser & its straight gives 10 fps less than a Forward Riser. Now i have used a Forward Riser a cast rser & machined riser on Vixen & E'cet 200. The cast & machined give the same speed usin same string. The Foward was faster pickin up 10-17 fps. The most gain will come from Vixen wid forward Riser. Use same arrow to test each riser & string.

I'm shopping an exocet w cast riser, is that the same arrow speed as machined straight riser? Are cast risers different in weight/durability than machined risers? Thanks in advance.

As long as the same type of limbs & string are used the speed will be the same. Cast Riser willbe abit lighter than machined Risers. I have been shootin cast Risered models since 96 & neverhad one fail in any way. Is it as durable i have no way of knowin. I think that they will all last 50 yrs +
