380 MATRIX some questions

Hi everyone, I purchased a new 380 last week and it feels great.

I know here we go again but.
I was wondering if would be feasible to cut down my fire bolts to the same length as the Diablo bolts?
I need a spare string for the matrix but the supplier did not have one and I see here that a lot of you use custom strings what's the advantage?
This is not my first crossbow and I am looking for fast and flat .
ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

JUDGE, I think you can cut-down your firebolts without any problems. Make sure you square them after cutting. I cut mine down from 20" to 191/2",19",181/2", before you cut to 18". See what your bow likes best! On the string, check out Don [ BOO]. He makes an awesome string!! You won't go wrong with one of his strings! Good Shooting ! Hawkeyemd

Congrats on the bow. Take up Norms offer! I've had fire bolts cut for my vixen. Work fine. Shot EM thru my 380. Fine...although I shoot zombies and the diablos thru my 380.

Several string makers here on the forum , xcaliber makes a great Flemish string at a great price . who ever you get your strings from I would suggest buying 2 . one on the bow and a back up .
