new to excalibur

Post by bikerbob24 »

I have been shooting crossbows for a number of years , we used them to bowfish . Well I lost partial use of my right hand to a injury in the line of duty last year. So being unable to draw a vertical bow I obtained a permit required to hunt with a crossbow here in Missouri. Having shot many different x-bows over the years I finally bought a new Excalibur last week and this thing is amazing. I have two other x-bows right now but I think they may be going up for sale before long, very impressed with Excalibur. :D

After flirting with numerous bows - of both kinds - I've concluded there will always be a, Excal (or two) in my stable. Just plain tough, dependable, easy to take care of and, esp, accurate. Dropped my (cocked) Vortex onto log from a 14' ladder, landed on left limb. Not only didn't break, or fire, but POI didn't change!!!!!
I've missed several deer with compounds, not one with Excal. They are like the Plain Jane that is often overlooked as a mate. Get to know her better and you'll realize what a jewel she truly is. :D
Vortex, Phoenix, single-shot rifles and handguns.
Incurable tinkerer.
Why hunt? Simple, it's BASIC. Why breath?!

I bought a new Axiom , spent the day yesterday shooting it and I am so impressed with this bow. I also installed the suppressor system the day before , very well designed and it works great ! I see a new Matrix being added to the collection... :D

Its funny you buy an Excalibur because it lasts for ever and solid as a Rock and you will never need another one BUT its like a drug 1 is never enough and you get another one and look there is another one right there. I want it!!!!
