NO!!!
The string should be approx. 1/4" away from the stops, which would make that 3/4" away from where the riser and rail meet.

To fix it you have to unstring the bow and twist the string to make it shorter. In your case you'll probably have to put a total of 6 more twists.

3/16" to 1/4" from the Reds is ideal. You require a stringing aid to shorten your string to the ideal brace height by twisting it. Too low of a brace height can put additional stress on your limb tips if ignored.
Danny Miller in Ohio has what you need as a reasonable cost 740 483-2312.

Also, give your Reds bumpers a little twist every 20 shots or so to lengthen the life of the Reds but avoid the Reds horizontal seam position with the string which may split the Reds after repeated contact.

Welcome to the forum ! You've got some great advice so far ! I would advise getting a string from one of the guys here on the forum so your not having to constantly adjust your brace height . Factory strings are well made and fast but there are material that don't creep near as bad . Boo , Vixenmaster , comfybear are a few here on this forum . Checkout the trading post . :)

You may also find it helpful to use a felt pen, pilot pen, pencil, etc. to mark the top edge of the rail exactly 3/4" from seem where the riser meets the rail. This gives a quick and exact reference for brace height. Also, if you shorten the string initially to a 1"-1 1/2" brace height and let it sit on the bow for a couple days that pre-stress will help with settling the string.
