Leupold crossbone scope covers?

Post by RonnieM »

Just put my crossbone scope on plus a trigger tech 2 stage trigger in yesterday. Got the scope level yesterday and bolts with locktite. Was going to sight it in today but started raining after work. Anycow, what do y'all recommend to get to use for len's covers for that scope?

I was going to get some flip-ups for my Leupold VX2, but it came from Danny Miller with a bikini cover. Generally, I prefer the yellow type with polkadots, but these seem to work pretty well. With a little practice, they can be removed with surprisingly little motion. If it's really pouring down rain, I'd guess the see-through flip-ups are no better or worse than the bare scope.

I was just wanting something to protect the lens from scratches.

Do the loopy flip up fold back flat?
If they do I may treat myself to one for the objective lens

Yes they do.
Once you put one on the front you'll buy the eye piece too :D
Fit and finish is great, price not so much.
I bought one set for my rifle and couldn't stand it till I put them on my other two Loopy's

I bit the bullet when I bought my VX-R and bought the flip up alumicovers and I'm so glad I did. They are pricey but worth every penny. They'll also outlast the el cheapo brands and a bonus is that they fold flat.
