Re: Stripped Screws
I will check the factory ones but the front two have to be shorter . they have been buying 3/8" length and trimming them to around 5/16" for the front.flinthead wrote:Give me the exact dimensions of the Torx screws you guys are using on your scope mounts... 8-32x??

Re: Stripped Screws
This is what worked for me on the front 2 screws that were 3/8" long. I put a nut on the screw and then used a coarse stone to grind off the 1/16" (approximate) extra length. Removed the nut and used blue lock-tite on the screws. I did this one at a time so that I did not disturb my scope setting. The torx screw head seems to me to be a more robust way to mount/hold the scope rail and it is easy to remove if/when necessary.
