I am after 8-32x5/16 to attach the scope rail to the trigger. I am after one with a socket cap or #20 torx head. Every where I go they are either 1/4 inch or 5/8's. Can't find torx head anywhere.
Does any one know where these can be purchased in Canada?
Thanks.

Call Facca Fastner in London and tell them what you need, they will probably have it in stainless as well if you wish.

#8-32 x 3/8" Black Oxide Finish 6-Lobe Plus Button Socket Cap Screw ($23.57 per 100 each)
http://www.fastenal.com/web/products/details/0138456
I used a universal wire stripping/crimping tool to cut my forward scope base screws down to factory length. I left the rear screws at 3/8". See the 8-32 opening, just thread in to desired length and cut. When you remove the modified screw the threads are straightened.
I bought mine from ebay below, but they don't ship to Canada.
10 ea 8-32 x 3/8" TORX Button Socket Screws - Black Oxide RARE ($13.95)

Plus I bought these 50 each for $13.95 free shipping, but now they lowered the quantity to 10 each for the same price. I gave most of mine away to Excalibur crossbow forum members otherwise I would send you some.

Re: 8-32x5/16 Screw
I used a nut on the screws and a coarse stone to grind off the 1/16" of extra length for the front two. This prevents the screw ends from interfering with the latches. Remove the nut and mount the screws with some blue lock-tite.
I was lucky and thankful that yooper_man could send me some screws.

Re: 8-32x5/16 Screw
Thanks guys for the tips. I am currently using 3/8 socket screws with a washer to get to factory length. Unfortunately the washers fall well below the bottom of the scope rail mount. Will try using universal wire stripping/crimping tool trick tonight.
