Between the two I would pick the Matrix 380.

I had the Equinox for one year from 2012-2013 and I was lucky to sell it for a profit and buy my Matrix 355 for a steal.

The compact design of the Matrix is what sold me.

Matrix 380. Smaller, faster, lighter.

I have the 380 and love it. A nice compact little beast. So I vote 380 for sure.

355 myself, and you can get the stock extender! 380 is an excellent choice as well. Any one will do the trick, good luck on your decision!

No matter which one you choose you cant go wrong...decide on what it is your looking for in a crossbow and it should be an easy choice. Do you want Compact, Price, less weight, More power, choice of Camo or color or more accessories ect...lot of things to think about.
Good luck

You pretty well said right off the bat which one felt the best.....the Equinox. Get what feels best and comes up to your eyes fast and comfortable. I prefer the vari-zone scope. In any event, the Equinox is a good 200 dollars less....maybe more if you haggle. The Matrix series is extremely popular so there could be some great deals for some used Equinox crossbows.

I had both. I'm glad I switched to the M380. That would be my recommendation, the M380 100%. Smaller, lighter, more compact and MORE POWERFUL!

I currently have both, the 380 is the one I'm taking to the field while the Equinox stays in the cabinet and will soon be sold. Like was mentioned, "what feels best is important", for me the 380's size makes for easy maneuvering in blinds or tree stands as well as easier to carry than the Equinox, can't go wrong with either though

Here my suggestion:
405 MEGA!!!
Well at least give it a try. Longer, faster and ounces heavier then the 380. But smaller than the Equinox.
Any would be a good choice, just all preference and what suits you more.
