Yes, you can safely shoot 22" arrows in your xbow. I have a Exocet 200 and I shoot 22" BE Zombies and it handles them perfectly. The main reason that I choose the 22" over the factory 20" published shaft length was for more total arrow mass. This gives me a little more room to choose broadheads (more selection in the 125 gr. class than the 150 gr.+ class) in a lighter weight class and still maintain my desired total arrow weight. Some folks do not like a arrow tip to protrude out past the riser into the foot stirrup area. . .I do not mind and personally do not plan on putting my foot in there with a loaded shaft to begin with. It all boils down to what your xbow likes and what you are wanting to achieve. Good luck.

Up to 40 yds you would be hard pressed to see a diff in group size. Past that you would see a diff the longer the yardage in yer accuracy off a solid bench shootin. Fer huntin out to 60 yds its more about the shooter than the equipment.

I could not honestly answer that because I have never shot a shorter arrow. I've always shot long and heavy arrows even with my recurve and longbows. . .I want the maximum "thump" when that arrow reaches its destination. And I think Vixenmaster is pretty spot on with "its more the shooter than the equipment" to a certain point. I just like having as many cards stacked in my favor as possible. Try the 22's and if they don't shoot you can always cut them down. . .it would be a pain in the ass to add to one though -LOL. Nice AJ in your avatar you got there too!

The only problem i have with longer arrows is this, if you hang your crossbow on a hook in the stand, the broadhead will bump that hook, and the sound is loud as heck! I like my arrows long enough to prevent me from sticking my foot in the stirrup with an arrow nocked, don't want to push one through my foot at the end of a hunt. You should get good accuracy with the right length bolts if you got enough weight in the nose! 8)

I shoot 20 inch fmg's with 120g brass incerts, my broadheads are 125 slick trick magnums and they fly great out to 40 yards, I'm shooting a matrix 355
