Going back to the beginning!

I have fletched arrows for years, and have been the "Dude" for all my hunting buddies, their buddies, etc. I have tried several tools over the years, and won't say a bad word about any of them. What I will say is that no matter what you do, you get some variation in vane placement with the multi-fletch jigs, and it really hurts the soul of the perfectionists! That said, i am going back to single vane tooling, and cannot wait for my new jig to get here. If you want to clone arrows, this is the only way! This will make the Zeon Vanes easier as well, and although my accuracy at 50 yards is excellent, I hope to see better.

Which tool are you going to? Are you retiring the tower? Sounds like you are pretty set on going back "old school".

I never get in a hurry on fletching my arrows. Still use a Bitzenberger Jig all these years and do them single vane glued on at a time. I give them about 15 minutes to dry before moving on to the next one and enjoy fletching my arrows. Take your time and enjoy fletching!

Not retiring the tower, yet! I'm going with the Bohning Pro Class Crossbow jig. The main reason is to get an order completed for a friend that wants a dozen with the Zeon vanes. I want to get them perfect for him, and none of the other tools will do this. The Blitz is a great tool, and i cut my teeth with one many years ago. As I have gotten a bit older, I enjoy doing it more, and don't care to hurry doing it.

I do lots of arrows for the boys an others on my Arizona an tower . but on all my arrows they are all done on a bitzenburger one at a time . Some helix an lots of offset an none more accurate than the ones done on the bitz.

Mike, reading the scope of this one, you might like it for the crossbow arrows! I'll post some results, and reviews next week.

I bought a Bitzenburg fletcher back in 1968 at a sport shop that was closing on Woodward Avenue near Ferndale, Michigan. Still have and use it today, went from fletching cedar arrows with feathers to fiberglass and later aluminum arrows and carbon with it. It performs just like the day I bought it.

Wow. Here I thought I was the only to go back to the Bitz... I am most likely done with the tower jig. I do not enjoy gluing the arms to the shaft and/or vanes that push out thru the groves in the arms. The best results that I had was with feathers.

I like the Grayling to, it gives me a choice of right, left or straight fletching. With Blazers I use the EZ bolt.
