The robe has it's work cut out for it this year. Still looking for a worthy xbow buck,a Texas whitetail and Muley. A few doe's and maybe a Rio Grande Turkey. Hope the Mojo is still there.

Patty and I just got home today

Took the long way home from Boofest.

We had an absolute blast again this year. It was so much fun seeing old friends again and it was our pleasure to make a lot of new friends.

Thank you Don and Karin for sharing your special place with us and for the countless hours of hard work you did to make everything happen.
Thanks "Greener" for all your hard work again and for bringing the Tim's.

Congrats to all the people who were lucky to win the great prizes and congrats to everyone who donated to this family, that's the best prize of all.

Don I feel that what you and Karen were able to do was more then expected. It was, again, a wonderful weekend.

The non scoring 3d shoot was not out of line. I for one, shot my first 3D at BooFest just because it was non scoring. I know that I am not the only person with health problems and have difficulties holding steady with the bow and when hunting use a shooting stick. IF it is a scoring shoot, using aids like that basically eliminates people like me as we would not use the aids just because it might cause friction with some of the shooters.

The making the 3D shoot an official shoot, would require a lot more work, a lot more volunteers (people who are not in the 3D shoot). As it is right now, I think that both you and Karen spend too much time running around making sure everybody is looked after. You do not need to have more things on your plate which makes you work harder, you need more time to be able to enjoy this even yourself.

If you do decide to change things, I hope that you keep in mind to keep things simple, just so that you & Karen have more time to enjoy this wonderful weekend.

Again thank you for an enjoyable weekend.

Tom

PS ....... the placement of the outhouses ..... well we did get lucky with that, as it was not as hot as a few years ago and we did not have to retreat into the woods to cool down

Opinions have been expressed! So Lou will provide and take care of discarded paper towels at the outhouses
I'm glad (no tongue in cheek) that the original complaint came up. It is extremely nice to know that we (all of us here) are on the right track! Boofest is for everyone and everyone's opinion matters! :D
So we'll leave the 3D as non-competetive. The distance shoot was a success and I think those who participated had a load of fun. Danny and I were talking last night about the shooting fun at Boofest and he was telling me of a few fun shoots he was at. So I think we'll have another distance shoot (maybe 2) with a prize. I was thining about a standing Sillowetta type shoot to say 60 yards using targets like a pig, turkey etc at unknown distances?
You guys and girls are great! You all make the effort worthwhile!

Hey Terry, can you ask your machinist what it would cost to make a 3' bionic chicken or pig with an 8' hole? That should be a good target!

Got crazy idea for shoot at BooFest. What about a William Tell Shoot? If you could get a mannequin and place an apple on it's head? Place it at an unknown distance . People get one shot to hit the apple
Might generate a lot of fun.
