Bedding bucks in the yard!!

Post by strum »

I walked out on my rear deck yesterday morn and something caught my eye. Instinctively I ducked right back in . Went to my laundry room window and there were three bucks bedding just inside the wood line. sorry for the crappy pics but all I had handy was my rifle so I took the pics with my phone through the scope. one was spike one was a 3 point other was an eight or more..hard to tell he was not moving and in the shade .

Very nice! Its always great to see them so close to the house. I just watched a small 6 pointer for the 3rd nite in a row, come out to the edge of my yard, for 15 minutes feed on wild cherrys that are dropping right and left as trees this year are loaded,,,and finally figured what him and several does this week were feeding on as I thought it was the grass. Wild cherrys! I have several large wild cherry trees bordering the yard. Its great before season to watch them. Enjoy!

Solid ..im an idiot

I see some deer travel through from time to time but to see these guys bedded was very rare.
the next day i decided to open the window to pull the screen and clean the glass so I could see better and dang if there wasn't a doe right underneath..she bolted for the woods and then I saw more deer with at least two fawns.
