Has anyone ever used a "goats foot" for cocking their bow?

They no good to a excal, can't remember what brands but I know I had a few bows you needed to cock it with a goats foot, long time ago.

I think Barnett offered one years ago.
It's basically a lever system to draw the string back - the rope cocking aid is a much better option.

It was also used on medieval crossbows . I think it would be a poor choice on a modern bow .
