broken limb tip

Broke a limb tip while shooting today. Not a dry fire or partial. Checked arrow seating twice. Fired and arrow flew straight where it was aimed. Saw something fly out to the left of the bow. Piece of the limb tip. String stayed on the bow. Could a flemish string cause this? Called Dan Miller and am sending in the riser. Any thoughts?

I don't think the Flemish string was the cause , Most that lose a tip have the factory EL string on it . Don't worry ! Excal will fix it quickly !

My guess is you have your brace height set way to low.

Brace height set at 1 inch per Excalibur.

X3, sorry to hear of this Gene. There have been some gluing issues, etc. You're in good hands though.
