arrow weight
Shooting the matrix 355 what arrow weight would be good to use and what about front of center. I have been reading about using more weight in the front. What yall think?
Re: arrow weight
Never checked FOC. Using zombies at 17", 92 grains up front with 100 grain tips.Total 398 grains. 2" Blazers, the bow is more accurate than I can shoot!
Good luck, hunt safe.

Re: arrow weight
If you stick with the arrows that came with the bow, then look at the 150 gr Bolt Cutter or even the 175 gr FOC.
Some people just like stepping on rakes
Re: arrow weight
....I made up o dozen Zombie Slayers on Friday to be shot out of my M380 with a Leupold Crossbones Scope and Triggertech 2 stage trigger. Went shooting on Saturday
18",
8.6grain wrap (by Decal Guyz),
Lumenock Nocks,
92g brass (adjustable insert allowing for indexing),
Boo Flemish string,
100g Spitfires (practice heads), and
2" Blazers.
Each arrow was numbered. I weighed each completed arrow on a Hornady Electonic GS-1500 scale. When completed each arrow was within .4 grains of each other.
On average each arrow came out to 415grain.
I used one arrow to sight in at each distance before moving on to the another arrow from that distance.
I wound up shooting only the first four arrows and everything sighted in perfectly out out to 50 yards (the maximum distance on the range.) I shot off of a bench rest.
My only disappointment for the day was my chrony was not working and then fell off of my tripod (hoping my son can fix it) so I have no speeds to report.
Hopefully I can back to the range and try the other arrows and a couple of other Boo strings (with a Chrony) before the season...my dilemma is its only a couple of weeks away and a 65 mile drive to the range....

Ouch on the drive, and chrony! Sounds like a pretty good setup though. Good luck Anthony, hope you get out hunting frequently, and you, and your daughter enjoy great times together.

Re: arrow weight
I just did a bunch of experimenting with some old 2219's I cut down to 20". I put 145's on the nose, fletched with 2" blazers and used Omni nocks. They work out to 15% FOC with a weight of 485 grains. Chronoed a average of 284 out of my Axiom and robinhooded the first three shot group at 40 yards. The extra weight does quiet the bow down a tad.
