My brother and I have not scouted like we should this year..i did a little but again not like I should have..any way we decided to go to one of our spots that we had not been in a couple of seasons ..I wasn't even sure I could find the tree I wanted ..but I did..
got my stand hooked up and climbed, settled in ect by around 6:45 .
hot..did I say hot lol..sweating ,glasses ,fogging ,skkeeter buzzing hot!! with drizzing rain

7:25 I had just stood to get some water out of my pack and I hear a blow..crap im thinking im busted..so I stay stood up bow in hand ..
7:40 I have a deer right under me.. poof there she was
of course on the wrong side..she moved behind me and I was able to turn around .thinking im going to be busted any moment..but I got my bow up cross hair on her and let the Executioner with the 125 gr slick trick magnum fly..
felt like I made a good shot (15-18 yards)so I gave it a few and come on down.
then the fun..not really..it was so dark and muggy and wet,and hot we searched for over an hour and even gave up..went to the truck .
regrouped went back to first blood. even used our flashlights..this is how overcast it was..finally found a drop of almost washed out blood..and then more and then..wowhoo we were on the trail which lead us straight to her 70 yards away..and to think we almost gave up..got one lung and the heart..
the slick made a massive hole..in and out..sorry no pics..by the time we found her I was almost in a panic to get her gutted and home..shes now nice and cool in my basement fridge
