matrix 330 questions
Just got my new matrix 330 is the string suppose to be touching the limbs it self. My vortex and axiom the string only touches the mag tips. On the matrix it's hitting the limbs about 2" I set the brace height to 5/8 from where the riser meets the barrel. the string is right at the line on the barrel. And it seem to be a lot louder than my other two Excalibur is this normal any help would be appreciated
Re: matrix 330 questions
No, crank that string up! You should have about 3/4" from string to split. If you have the bumpers, 1/4" gap! Do not shoot it like that.

Lots of good string makers here before he came along!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Swamp Donky wrote:X2! I also hear... xcalibur (stringmandan) makes a mean flemish string that will tame that 330 down without breaking the bank!xcaliber wrote:No, crank that string up! Re: matrix 330 questions
Ok to get the string up off the limbs I had to set the brace height up to 1 1/8" from the end of the barrel. And it's a 1/2" from the line that is marked on the barrel and a 5/8 " away from my r.e.d.s and the string is just barely off limbs. Still seems loud when shoot.
Re: matrix 330 questions
They do rest on the limbs when resting position.

Re: matrix 330 questions
Seems Loud but not slow. It is accurate like all excals already destroyed two of my arrows with it at 30 yards. I checked the decibel on it and it's 86 where the vortex is 76 DB. So the string is suppose to touch the limbs at rest???
Re: matrix 330 questions
BH should be around 3/4 from Riser/Rail meeting gap . The Matrix Xbows have Recurve Limbs and the older Mag-Tip Bows don't . This means even when The BH is set correctly your string might touch lightly a Couple of inches underneath the tips because of the way the limbs turn up . And Xcaliber does make a good string !

Yep, my Vortex is much quieter than my 355. Both are sweet though. Yes, the string does rest on the limbs though on the Matrix.

Just make sure the BH is set as described and you'll be fine ! Very smart of you to be safe and ask !

Re: matrix 330 questions
So I need 1/4" gap between the string and r.e.d.s and not worry about the string resting on the limbs????
