Daughter's 19th Birthday Present

Post by Species8472 »

So my daughter is a massive Edgar Allan Poe fan. So for her birthday I just picked this up from the taxidermist:

Image

Being the redneck that I am I shot this guy from inside my dining room (do rednecks have dining rooms?) this spring. Used the 17hmr at 125 yards. Technically it should be a raven (to be true to Poe) but as they are protected a crow will have to do. I think it turned out well and she will be pleased.

Very nice man!

I'm guessing you shot it while in your kitch-en, and not while in your "spam"

Kitch-en is a black listed word on the Excalibur forum

You are correct Scott - well technically it was the breakfast nook as my wife calls it. Since we eat there I figured dining room was close enough. I tried typing kitch-en and you are correct it came up as "spam."

Nice mount!!!!!!!!!

Guess Excalibur's answer to whether we can use the word k i t c h e n is:

"Nevermore"

Sorry, I just had to come up with a way to use that word.

Joe, that is very cool! I can't help but snigger at the thought of crows, walking around as if they own the world, then bang! This one becomes a novelty for a young girl!

Beautiful mount. Very thoughtful....and a great way to sneak another mount past your wife and into the house.
