vanes for the matrix

Post by Talltines »

I am about to order some arrows from south Shoreand was wondering aabout how tall these vanes are compared to how deep the track on the rail is. I know some people have had to do a little shaving so the cock vane won't hit the bottom oof the tract. So will the blazers hit bottom or no?

I've had great results with 2" Blazers fletched on BE Zombies with an Arizona EZ-Fletch Bolt that puts a nice Helical into them.

....I agree with this totally...I also shoot the blazers on my Zombies using the AEZF...love the setup!

What is the best setback so not to interfere with anything from the latches or anti dry fire mechanisms. Never thought of this but Southshorearchery has this listed as something to choose.

is 1 inch ok or do I need more room? Or 1 1/4. What's best

If you use the Arizona Quick Fletch that is determined by the jig when you place your arrows in the holder. The only thing that would chance the set back would be whether you a using and aluminum, plastic, lumenok, ignitor or other type of nock!

Anthony :)

PS: On a stock Diablo with Lumenoks I measured 1 1/2" from the end of the Lumenok to the beginning of the Blazer. 1 1/8" from the end of the arrow shaft to the beginning of the Blazer.

The 2" fletching on my Excalibur supplied arrows for the Micro 335 rub on the ADF when loaded but it has not seemed to cause much of a problem with accuracy.
