Kong's 7 pt Exit Pic Swhacker

Post by vixenmaster »

I was called by the Yamaha shop yesterday, its was ready to pick up. We went & paid out $243.56 & got 85 model Yamaha 225 out of shop. I told my Mrs. last nite i would have one on the ground this morning. Jus because i didn't have to try n drag one to the cabin. At 7 am i saw legs again in the thicket, i did the can in heat call twice no responce. Couple hrs go by plenty of tree rat noises. I had me hearing aids in my ears n i hear crunch chrunch chrunch. I heard that 5 times from behind me directly downwind on me. I am sitting down in the southside Hang-on stand. I twist to my right all i can, i see this deer standin there. I swing Kong around trying to get on the deer. It throws its head up saw Kong but couldn't make him out. I played molasses as i eased the safety off & put the xhair into his ribs at est 22 yds. Squeezed the trigger n he was out of there real fast going back down the finger ridge. I lowered my stuff to the ground got down went to look fer my arrow. I found it, wet not much blood. I was not happy with what i saw on arrow n i saw the deer go over 65 yds before i lost sight of him. I eased down the way he had ran & finally found some tiny drops of blood 30 yds from shot. I called my Mrs. told her to turn loose my furbabies. Several min's later they arrive, they start nosing as i tell them dead deer. Off they went smellin, they work out the trail takes several min's more. Then they lit out on a run & i am followin the blood trail best i can. I see Josey Pie comin back fer me, she runs up grabs my pants leg n pulls at me. She takes off i jus follow her & as i am goin down the ridge into the ravine i see her stop where Gussy is sittin waiting on me. 135 ds est. recovery trail dead 7 pt. Kong has his 1st deer n pass-through 2" Swhacker, but long run n blood trail.
