Brace height??

Hi all.(New to forum) I just bought a Matrix 355, when watching the instruction video it says when setting brace height set between the two lines on riser but my Matrix only has one line. The instruction book say to set brace height between1"-1.5" from joint. Can someone clarify this?

I have the axiom, and my book also said 1"-1.5" from the joint mine doesn't have any lines on the rail, I measured off of the riser joint and used a sharpie to put a line at the 1" Mark and one at the 1.5" Mark I just try to keep the string right in the middle of the marks and it seems to be just fine and shoots good.

If you have the string bumpers on it the you just keep it a small distance from them and you are good, at least that's what I have read here on the forums but I'm sure someone with more knowledge than me can straighten it out for ya.

I keep the string approx. 1 to 2 string widths off the rubber bumpers on my 355

I do the same on my Vortex.

My 355 has no marks on the rail for the brace height. The book says that your brace height can be between 5/8 and 1 inch from the "joint" where riser and rail meet. My bow seems to like being at 3/4". I have Danny Miller's bumpers on my bow and with the 3/4" brace height, the string is about 1/8 to 3/16" away from the pads.

X2 what deermanct said. I do the exact same, 3/4" from riser giving me about 1/8-3/16" from the rubber baby bumpers. That height seems to give you max speed without tearing up the bumpers.
