The Hunt! SUCCESS!!!!

Post by agingcrossbower »

After putting in for Iowa zone 4 for four years now, I am finally getting to go. Been screwing with me so bad I can't get into hunting at home. Mike the owner has been sending me giant buck pics for some time now. Feels good to still have that nervous Nelly feeling at my age.
Story; I had a cold for roughly three months which ended with a cough that would not stop. The doctor thought it might be a side effect from one of my high blood pressure drugs so I eliminated one. Then Mike the owner of the place tells me I have to text out there. Well my blood pressure when to 165/100 playing with texting so back on the drug and NO texting. LOL I told him either talk to me or I will see him when I see him. Mike is going to learn how to talk on a cell phone.
When I get there I am going to have a walking cane and keep asking for him to come closer so I can see him better.   Love screwing with the kids. I am not that far gone YET.
If I am fortunate enough to have a nice buck walk into my arrow I will post pics. And, if my ticker goes let it be known that I died a happy man. :D
Sorry Sew, I have to hunt. :D I will be careful.

Hope you have a safe and successful hunt resulting in a short tracking and recovery of a HUGE buck. All the best.

Talked to Mike the owner this morning and he said that a buck was trying to hump a doe this morning but without success. He figured after the first round your going to see fewer bucks but BIGGER bucks. Hope so!

Thanks for all the well wishes. I talked to Mike the owner if the one other guy he had there got anything and he said that he passed on a 140 and 150. He is looking for something bigger. I do not think that will be a problem with me. This Cat would be happy with a buck like that.
Bags are packed and in an hour or so I will be leaving. :D
