New Excalibur Deadzone scope

Post by Carnivorous »

The mention of the Dead zone scope caught my eye in the new Micro ad. They come with the Varizone now. I wonder what the skinny is on this new scope?

....that is because the vari-zone is a dead-zone scope....three shots and there was something inside the scope that only hitting it hard on the top could remove...I know they are allowing me to upgrade or replace...but come on Excalibur...don't you see your weak link? JMHHO.....

LOL

I wonder when the deadzone will start coming with the Micro package?
It might be worth the wait to get this new scope instead of the Varizone! oops too late I already hit the buy now button!!! LOL

no matter I am using a leupold crossbones anyway... :)

Unless it has the "golden ring" on it, I'd switch to one that does.

Varizone has always been a decent scope as far as I'm concerned.

As stated weakest link in the program. Dead zone,Varizone, Ozone, any zone if made in same factory as the rest of them, they are desposible at best. I have 2 380's now neither wears a zone - Leupold and Vortex for me.

I heard that Anthony.. My son has a new m-380 blackout with a tack zone. He seems to like it. I shot he's bow a couple times and personally I think the glass and clarity suck!! But the lighted crosshairs made it to me, Use able . That is the main reason my next bow will be a bare bones!! So I can put my personal optics on.. Don't care for the Excalibur scopes at all............,,,

....which is pretty much the general consensus on this forum and the dent in the shinny Excalibur armor. Why they do not offer a "better" scope option I do not know....I know i spoke to a sales person at one of the shows and he told me that the complaint rate on the scopes is only 2%....If that is truly the case than we we know why.

Or at minimum offer the option of no scope instead of forcing us to buy something we have zero use for. As I have said many a time if I hunted in back 40 no big deal if it lets me down and LIFETIME WARRANTY replaces it. BUT if I'm in Texas or on a fly in hunt then LIFETIME WARRANTY means diddly squat - I'm up $hitty creek with a $hitty scope. This is true of any scope but in 30+ years I've never had a Leupold or Swarovski let me down.Thankfully my dealer has always let me swap scope out of package but they should not have to do this, it should be optional.
