O/T Look Out Squirrels!!

Post by awshucks »

Got a new rifle, another 17 Hmr. White and black laminated stock, called 'pepper', a new term for me. Meet 'Sgt Pepper'

Image

Shot a 50 rnd target, got them into just under .500" ctc.

Went to the range Thanksgiving to check where it would shoot at 50 and 30 w/ 100 yd sight in. Range was busy, but there was a clean target at 100 yds. I shot 10 shots at and was satisfied w/ elevation.

Here's the 30 and 50 yd targets. '9' ring is 1" and '10' ring is 1/2".......... Happy camper.......

Haven't shot the Y-25 in a spell, but it's sitting there calling my name, lol.

Looks like a great shooting gun. What brand?
I have a Marlin 22Mag that is extremely accurate and fun to shoot.

Nice! That's a sweet little squirrel gun there for sure.
Have fun. :)

I have a MACH2 and the HMR. They are 2 of the most accurate rifles I have. And you're right the more you shoot them the better they get. You'll be hitting dimes at 100 in no time (without a breeze). Head shots are a must. The .17 is not to forgiving on shoulder shots.
