My daughter wants my Micro

Post by GrassyKnoll »

Well, my daughter has taken a fancy to my crossbows. So I let her shoot my Micro last night outside at 20 yards. One arrow, shoot, retrieve and shoot again. We did this for 5 shots.... Not trying to brag but I think she shot pretty well... lol.

Then after we were done shooting she asked if I could sell her compound and get a crossbow.. I told her I have to think about it but I have already called my local shop to put one on the side for her and Santa will bring it for Xmas.

She is 10 years old and wants to hunt with me, so of course we are going to take the safety course for her.

I called F&G and she can take the shooting portion of the test using a shooting sled or any support system but she must cock it herself..

My question is how hard is it to use the crank? Will a 10 year old girl be able to use the crank to cock it?

wow !! that's the coolest Christmas gift a girl could ever want :D
I haven't used the C2 on an excel but I have used a Horton crank on a friends bow and I think it would be no problem at all for her.

Well, Santa came this morning and guess what he put under the tree for my sweet little angle? Her very own Micro Nightmare with a pink/black Danny Miller Flemish string, an MTM crossbow bolt case and a half dozen arrows with pink tiger stripe blazers. I assembled the bow and mounted the scope but we cannot shoot till tomorrow because I used Loc-tite on the scope rings... All she kept saying was "is it a Micro?" "is it a Micro?" lol.. she was excited.. I love my daughter more than anything and thank God daily for my baby... She is a sweet, caring, loving and giving little girl..

My Micro is the easiest shooting crossbow I've ever used, and your daughter should really enjoy it (for a long time).

My hats off to you sir for equipping your daughter with what I consider one of the best crossbows on the market and teaching her a skill that she can enjoy her whole life.

Hey Ed... I'm sure this will be a Christmas neither you nor you daughter will ever forget.... I am sure that there will be many, many memories in store for both of you with your 335's...and that is the most important part of this... I'm sure she loves her pink string n fletching....

Tell her there are a lot of people on the forum rooting for her!

Thanks for sharing with us !
