more micro models next year

Post by archerytho »

Anyone know if or when there would be an announcement about a new model for the "micro" series.

I know many people want a more powerful model, how far could they go as ive heard when cocking the micro the last inch is almost stacking, meaning reaching the limits of the limbs.

personally I would like to see a less powerful one to fit laws and regulations in my area and also for the lesser wear on parts, of course decreases with less draw weight.

Thank you

I agree. The Micro seems harder to cock than the M380 to me. And I think Anthony is right on with the stacking.

Go to the Excal website and download the 2015 catalog. It shows the new Matrix Grizzly and Matrix Cub.

The Grizzly and Cub are both SMF rails built on the Matrix platform. The Grizzly is 305 FPS and he cub is 285 FPS. The Cub also has a shorter stock for youth.

Yes it was an interesting read.
Since they only mentioned the micro 335 does that mean it will be 2016 before they bring another model out, if they even decide too?

You are most likely correct and may see a new model in 2016.

Whatever is in the catalog is all you'll likely see this year. I wouldn't be surprised to see a lower poundage Micro someday but I don't think it will be any time soon.

I cant imagine a higher poundage micro but I can see where a lower model would be appealing.
I would like to see a full camo rail model.
I was very surprised to see the SMF Matrix bows . (in a good way)
It was a smart move on Excalibur's part I think and I never hear of any issues with the SMFs of the past.

Last two new models came out in the fall before the ATA show in January. Maybe next fall?
