Sorry to hear of your loss.
It's always tough for me to respond to these topics, there just aren't words to really bring comfort.

sorry for the loss of your friend, i'd rather take a whoop'n than go through that again. be confident he never told anyone yer secrets, he always trusted your decisions and he love you unconditionally. remember those times where you let him get away w/ everything when the Mrs. wasn't around (eat'n off the dishes) and when you both got caught you both got the talk'n to.

were not just hunters, were compassionate also. you did right by him.

Sounds like a tough deal. Every time I loose a dog i say never again, but still get another one a few months later.

So sorry for your loss. Been through it more than i like. Just give it some time and find another pal. Some do it right away and some need time.

One thing that happened to me was when i owned a Doberman when i was a kid after 9 years her heart gave out and i could NEVER EVER own another Doberman again. She was just that awesome of a dog. And to this day i still never owned one. I don't think any other Doberman could ever live up to my Topaz. For me it was hard to ever get the same breed of dog as the last one. But other people are different. I just hope your pain and sadness passes soon

We all feel your pain and wish you the best. But it just flat out sucks.

so sorry

I feel your pain. When you lose a dog it's losing a family member. Having been in the same situation I can understand your feelings.
