good bye my friend.

Post by maine hunter »

Had to put my black lab down today. He had cancer. He couldn't walk, wouldn't eat anything. Had him since he was a pup.he will be truly missed. Feel numb and have a hole in my heart. Love you Jake.

I can think back on a few of my dogs over the years and feel your pain . I don't know why a good dog can't live as long as a man

I'm so very sorry to hear this, my heartfelt condolences.
I just went through this twice within the last month... I lost my beloved Shepherd 3 weeks ago, and two weeks to the day later my female Shepherd died. She would have been twelve next month but I think she died of a broken heart.
It's tough when we lose our faithful companions.

I'm so sorry! It's hard for me to even reply. Maine and John, I'm truly sorry. :(

It’s never easy and my condolences. I also lost my shepherd a few years back to cancer and still think back on all the good times. Hang in there my friend.

Sorry for your loss.
I am on my sixth Doberman.
Big dogs just don't live long enough but they are worth it.

Sorry to hear about your loss, I lost my dog Spanky (pictured in my avatar) the same way at 5 yrs old. There is no way to describe what a dog can do for a person, they are so unconditional. Our condolences to you. :(

I grieved more over the loss of my last Lab than I have over a few human family members.

Maine Hunter, I'm truly sorry for your loss. Cherish the memories.

So sorry to hear that. I have had my Black Lab for a little over a year now and I know it will be devastating when she goes someday.
