Thinking about a M310
I have been shooting a Vixen for quite a few years and find it sufficient for my needs but with Uncle Arthur coming to visit more often I think a shorter and lighter bow would work better. Thinking about the Matrix 310 for now but would like to know if it gets the advertised 310 fps or at least close to it. Any info on this bow from you gentlemen who own one would be appreciated.

It appears that the M310 is already outdated Jim. They are replacing it with the Matrix Grizzly. If you go to the HOME page at top of page then look on left side for 2015 catalog there is a picture of the new bow and also at the end of the catalog is a page giving the specs on it and the other bows also.

Yep, saw that Awhile back. The Grizzly is another option and I have no problem with it being SMF. My son has an Axiom and its a right nice shooter. I was looking at the 310 as being the lightest which is a plus for me. Just would like to know the real world fps vs advertised.
Re: Thinking about a M310
I know the 330 gets a tad bit better than advertised, and a lot of guys have bought them for their wives to hunt with too. I would bet the 310 gets advertised speeds, but i would recommend shooting both if possible.
Good Luck!

Re: Thinking about a M310
I bought the M310 for my first crossbow a couple months ago and it is awesome. I came here to figure out which Excalibur to get for my first crossbow.
The info I got from people here and articles on the home page such as which bow is the right bow for me helped me make the right choice.
I'm shooting a bit under 300 with standard string and 18" executioners.
Deadly accurate and very comfortable to shoot.
I'm almost 58 - 5'5" - 150# dripping wet, and have had back surgery...
I can easily target practice with the M310 all after noon without any problem.
I have been tinkering with the idea of picking up a M330 rail.
I think the M310 or M330 would be good choices

Thanks for all the info. I have a little bit of contemplating to do but as of now I am leaning towards the Grizzly. I'll see when they come out. Thanks again.
