Post by diesel »

Im sorry I know this has been covered but I can not find the answer when I have done a search.

So I have a 380 Matrix and the first set of limbs had 88 on them i just got a set and they have 106 on them what was the reason for the # .

Thank you

They number them so they can find matched pairs. Limbs are matched because some are stronger than others.

You will pick up a good amount of fps with the 106 limbs over the lower deflection 88's.

Oh yeah those 106's should be hot! You will probably feel the difference the first time you cock it

I just received my second set in the mail for my 380. Less than one week turnaround. The first set both were 95 this set both are 105. I will say Excalibur service is amazing to say the least. Thanks Peter, Dawn, Danny and Woodys for your dedication and service to Excalibur's customers.
I mounted both new limbs and the bow draws and shoots pretty much the same point of zero as with the other limbs I think the numbers are just for matching both limbs in regards to tension consistency. Probably minimal speed increase if any from what I am seeing. Plenty fast with either set..JMO.

If you knew your speed before swapping out the limbs, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by the chrony results after. If you get to speed test the 105s, please post the results.

I didn't chrono the first set but the 380 was already visibly faster compared to my already fast Excomax...I know the numbers have meaning in terms of limb strength or flex but how much I have no idea. So when they were a higher number than what I had and both numbers were exactly the same on both new limbs I figured that was a good thing. I only took a couple shots at 25yds so in retrospect I would probably not see any point of impact difference even if the new limbs were pushing the arrow 10-30ft per second faster as these 380's shoot pretty much flat out to that range anyway. I will chrony the bow later at the bow shop using my total 400gr arrow/point setup. Now you have me curious as to what I can expect out of it...lol I will post here when I get an opportunity to test it. Thanks rup.

On the 'Exo' series, I've been told the [9] numbers represent a total of [2 lbs] diff........

I have a spare set of Snow Camo limbs off a Matrix. I do not see any numbers on them at all. Where would they be on these limbs?

Should be on the underside of the limb, on the surface that would normally be hidden by the riser. Usually written in black sharpie.

I have not disassembled a Micro, but I heard that the highest deflection value was 33. On a Matrix, the highest number I've heard of was 106.5.
