Things have changed ...

Post by R.J. »

Wow > Man , IMHO this forum has changed over the years !
Back in the day > There was no need for a moderator to step in …

Now useless posts like this are predominant …. 2668 views and 109 replies

http://www.excaliburcrossbow.com/phpBB2 ... =1&t=56333

And a good related Crossbow hunting post like this gets little response …. 242 views and 15 replies

http://www.excaliburcrossbow.com/phpBB2 ... =1&t=56349

Maybe it’s just me ? But things have changed ….

You said a mouth full :!:

Been around here since 2010 but I never post anymore and haven't for a long time.

You wouldnt expect so much drama on a forum based on a crossbow, but this place has tons.

I read the posts regarding crossbow info and tips on hunting but none of that other crap.

I do enjoy your posts where you share your pics with us RJ.

...even I have seen the downward spiral in this forum in the little over a year that I have been a member....every time I post I try never to offend someone else even if I do not agree with them....I have learned that if you have a disagreement with an issue presented...post your response in a manner that evokes a response regarding the issue and NOT the one presenting it....

...there can never be a winner ( and there shouldn't be) when someone attacks another individually...

...and yes the topics are becoming moe and more non crossbow and hunting related which is not the reason why people joined....to learn about crossbows and hunting....

....I have felt recently like I am back in high school with guys that get into fights over girls and their souped up cars!

I used to be pretty bad about what I posted at times. I found that the best thing to do when you are hot and bothered by a post is to make your post and then sit back and read it a time or two before hitting the submit button.

I find myself deleting or revising a lot of my posts since I started doing this before actually posting them.

....well now that we all agree that it was Stan's (Strum) fault   now is the time to put our "WORDS" into action and lift this forum back up to where it is supposed to be...the sharing of everything Excalibur and hunting and NOTHING else that has no place here...

Wonder if Excalibur could set up a forum for seniors only? I'll bet it would have less drama.
And I'd be eligible to join.

Unfortinately that is easlier said than done.
Foe is a beautiful tool . Unfortinately it does not go far enough and block the threads started by Foe as well. But unfortunately some times overnsight is required which has been lacking of late.
Maybe the National Job Search has something to do with it.
