....great idea on the "senior" thing...must be aged based, medical ailment based (bad back, shoulders, knees), senility based (can't remember chiet ) as it would aid in not remembering IF and WHEN someone offended you and also have a touch of waddling for those who...well, I think you get it!

I am 71 years old going on 30. Every day I wake up I am thankful for what the Good Lord has blessed me with. There will always be disagreement in any group be it Church, the Lodge, Schools, Family. But all in all the most Christian and caring attitudes always survive. There are some awful good people on this forum as are the ones overseeing it. For them I am thankful too. Cheers

It is the nature of social media. Veterans of a forum leave as fast as new ones register. It's not unusual for newer/younger members to be more demanding of so-called freedom-of-speech, while many of the veterans, knowing what free speech is, know that this does not give them a right to belittling, profanity spewn attacks............on a private forum. Veterans of a forum are not angels either, the one thread in particular, that gave rise to this thread............I can think of a couple or few posters that would be headed to ban camp, based on moderation from the only other outdoors forum I visit. Self control and heavy handed moderators should be able to handle the train wrecks. Self control is key when moderators infrequently visit the site. Self-control can be a subjective topic..........but it's pretty clear when name calling, accusations and profanity are the main thrust of a discussion..........that emotion has taken over............imho

Four friends, all in their 40's, discussed where they should meet for lunch. Finally it was agreed that they would meet at Hooters because the waitresses were young, good looking, had big chests and wore short-shorts.

•Ten years later,at age 50, the four buddies once again discussed where they should meet for lunch. Finally it was agreed that they would meet at Hooters because the food and service was good, they had many televisions to watch the games on, and the beer selection was excellent.

•Ten years later, at age 60, the four men again discussed where they should meet for lunch. Finally it was agreed that they would meet at Hooters because there was plenty of parking, they could dine in peace, and it was good value for the money.

•Ten years later, at age 70, they discussed where they should meet for lunch. Finally it was agreed that they would meet at Hooters because the restaurant was wheelchair accessible and had a toilet for the disabled.

•Another 10 years went by, and at age 80, the friends discussed where they should meet for lunch. Finally it was agreed that they would meet at Hooters because they had never been there before.
