This is the camera I've got my eye on and this place has the best price by far.

Has anyone on here dealt with these folks before?

Woody, Ive got two Olympus digital cameras, a D360 and a D390. Not as expensive as the C series but they take good pics. You'll like the camera and Olympus has good service. Make sure to make a copy or two of your sales receipt,you'll have to send one in if you do need warrenty work. Also you can registar your new camera on-line at the addy below . I know nothing of that company, however I have an Olympus C-740UZ, it is pretty close to the one you are looking at except that it is 3.2 megapixels and does not have the audio in the movie mode. Excellent camera, takes great pic's.

Hey Woody,

A good way to check and see if a price is too good to be true is to search Ebay, and look at the buy it now prices. That will let you know what a dealer has to make on an object to make a good profit. The lowest pay now price is $682.50 almost double the price that you were given. So something is real fishy here. An Olympus C-740 at a lowest buy it now price of $449.16 comes closer to the price you were given for the C-770.
I myself have been looking at the Olypus C-720 which usually goes for around a buy it now price of $359.99 and this set http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie ... eName=WD2V is a pretty good looking deal. You also have Ebay to back you up if something goes wrong

This is my Alaska Tour and Cruise camera. The zoom will get me up close and personal with a grizzlie without being up close and personal..

Woody - I've been watching a few digitals on Ebay from OlympusUSA
They are factory refiurbished units with full warranty...you are dealing with the manufacturer. They have a few come up every day.

I was looking at the C-7.. series too.....bought a few other things so the camera's on hold.

Ordered it today...

I ordered a case for it from Circuit City for $19.99..

I'm looking at prices of XD cards now.

About $90 for a 256 is low ball for now.....

Leo,

I looked at the Olympus C 765 at Circuit City for $449 and it had a few less features than the C770 at Beach for $429 so it was a no brainer.

The tour is with Collette Tours and will be a 7 days on land by coach/train and 7 days on the cruise with Princess cruise lines.

There are 12 of us going from my church and it is a fun group so it will be a ball..

I just wish they would let me take the Exomag along...

Now what do I do with my old Minolta 35mm SLR and lens??
