Pretty sure they are hitting market in March.
The Offspring is a new (sort of) bow that is a hybrid from Excalibur and Bowtech. Excal Matrix stock with a Bowtech Solution front end.

I do believe that Excalibur feels there is something worthwhile about this bow to risk attaching their name to it. Their last partnership with a compound company had a large following and seemed to do well (never owned one)

fingers crossed!

The bow will be sold and distributed under the Bowtech name.

If Excalibur and Bowtech continue to develop new stuff together I would like to see a reverse limb bow.

With the limited information I just read in the last 5 minutes it appears this bow is nothing more than the stock from one bolted to the riser of another.

What makes it so exciting? Am I missing something?

I reckon its all of the main parts of Excals n Riser/limb set-up of Bowtech's SL models. They have a problem with the shims poppin out. Not what melts my butter

From the (also limited) info that I heard. Improved trigger(?) and the ability to add acc's.

More info about the bow is bound to come out soon.

Apparently they are using the 350 riser/limbs and the rest is Excal. Bowtech had very little issues with the 350 . It was the 380/390 that had the limb/shim problems. Anyone at the ATA seemed impressed with how quiet the set up was. Not for me, but I'm sure it will interest some, if it's as quiet as people say..

Yes I agree its just not what I want in a crossbow!! The main reason or at least one of them that really made me jump to Excalibur was the Recurve limbs and the ease of maintaining the bow in the field, not to have cables flying off cams going bad or out of time, I put up with it in my compound days, and was a regular customer of the nearest bow shop, I mean its not that big a deal... But I sure don't miss the drive to the bow shop now that I own an Excalibur, anyway that's how I feel about the off spring, For me recurve all the way. But in the end one persons junk is another mans treasure.......

bubba i can relate to that. I had 3 sets of limbs put on my Hoyt when fast flite 1st was put on them. I was in 2 diff big statewide 3D shoots when the top limb each time broke. Once it cracked at a diagnal n jus folded on over as i pulled back. The other time i was at full draw 30" n it broke quickly back into my face. I got the 3rd set of limbs put on it n sold it. Went n bought a brand new Point Blank 65-80lb Compound.

today I was in my friends bow shop and I had a chance to look at the bowtech
sl 350 limbs and riser .they looked pretty nice. on the matrix stock you would
have the adf that you can decock with the rope plus the safety is in the right place.less cocking effort to.dan miller said nothing but GOOD on the sl350 when
I was chopping my matrix 380 rail. I do agree on the recurve being trouble free funny thing at the bow shop the compound crossbows do come with in a few days blown up.90 % its operator error .second year here for crossbows and has brought out the type of hunter that thinks hes using a rifle (nit wits)
