Field Point Question?

Post by BUCKSHOT »

Can you get extra long field points for target shooting and use Arrow arrestors on them? I am getting a little frustrated with the number of vanes I have been damaging while target shooting!
I use target bags usually at home and find that unless I am thirty-five yards or more, the arrows usually get buried right to the vanes!
Enjoy the Harvest!

I am shooting my Paradox (340fps) at a Yellow Hammer Mini Slammer that I've used for over a year now and they go in justg over half the shaft and pull out with two fingers.

It sounds to me that the target is the problem.i have shot a morrel outdoor range target for years and the arrow still only buries about half way.(turn it around and fluff it up every now and then) Bob

I agree with Darkhollow archer. I use a Walmart bag target that is 2 years old, and average penetration is no more than 50% of the target. Striper
