Are The Bohning Bolt Packs Worth It?

Post by StormDragon »

I'm considering getting one but not sure if they are worth it or work as far as holding your bow right etc.

Does anyone use/have one and what's your thoughts on it if so?

Thanks in advance

Jeff, Bellerivercrossbowhunter, posted about it awhile back. He likes it. Search the forum if he doesn't chime in, there was a thread about it.

I bought one and think its a nice well made pack. The material the pack is made of is quiet and it has a decent amount of storage. My micro secures nicely since I have added the Munch Mounts which mounts my quiver now on top of my bow.

Overall not a bad deal at all for $50.00 reg price $150-160. Its a decent pack for white tail or turkey hunting. Not a pack designed large enough to haul quartered game out of the woods, just a gear/bow carrying pack. The big question you have to ask yourself is how often will you use it?

Hope this helps.

.....I bought three of them for my two boys and me...I believe the bow will fit snugly in the center channel if AND ONLY IF...all of the storage pouches are relatively full....otherwise I have found the bow NOT to be too snug...

...bare in mind that I have not yet used it in the field...someone else might be better to chime in on this....I do have every intention of using the back pack however since it IS well made and has more than enough storage and the price is more than right.

I use one on my micros and really like it If I had a complaint it would be it could stand more pockets but between the pack and my coat & bibs I have room to spare . It holds crossbows snug
